Stinging When I Pee

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

Question

I recently lost my virginity but a condom was not used. I took the Plan B pill as a precaution but the next day I got my period. Now it stings when I pee and I have the urge to keep going to pee, even if I don't need to. It's been like 3 days now. Will it go away on its own or do I need to go to Student Health & Wellness?

Sores

Monday, October 13, 2014

Question

I first noticed an open sore on my inner right thigh about a week ago and since then it has multiplied and I thought it was just from my legs rubbing together from walking but now there are 2 on my stomach and one on my inner left thigh. I am not sexually active and those are the only places they are found. I did put Neosporin on and cover them with a band-aid but I stopped doing that because when I would take the band-aid off, skin on the adhesive part would peel off as well causing another sore. The Neosporin does seem to work but new sores keeping popping up. Any idea on what this could be and how to treat it?

Can't Concentrate

Monday, October 13, 2014

Question

I usually have difficulty paying attention in class and focusing on studying/homework. It seems like it's hard to concentrate no matter the level of distractions in the environment - whether I'm at home or in a coffee shop. It is sometimes a bit easier to focus when I'm in the library, but not always. I'm frustrated because internet searches on how to concentrate on studying focus on removing distractions for your environment. I've also already been evaluated for ADHD, and the conclusion was that I don't have it. I'm getting pretty far behind in my classes, and I'm worried that my grades will be severely impacted if this continues. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist in a week but I can't get any farther behind in my homework. I want to start doing my homework and studying NOW but I just can't focus or motivate myself no matter what I do. I also haven't gone to one of my classes' lectures in two weeks, and yesterday I stayed in bed past 1pm. I'm scared by my inability to do life responsibilities.

Stomach Pain & Cramping

Friday, October 10, 2014

Question

Ever since this past Friday, I get these random stomach aches and cramping, and eventually go to the bathroom. Normally when I go to the bathroom, I never have gas and now that seems to be all it is. None of my stools have been solid either. It almost feels like I can't go. The stomach aches happen randomly, maybe 3-4 times a day, which is annoying. They even wake me up when I'm sleeping. I've never had any issues like this, so I don't know what to do.

Question

My roommate’s dog had worms, and lately I'm wondering if I could have them too. I noticed white, rice-like specks in my stools. Is this a realistic concern?
