Routine Periods

Question

Is it normal to start your period only 19 days into your cycle? My period almost always comes later than every 28 days, but it is typically unpredictable. I'm not sexually active or using any type of birth control. The only medication I'm taking is for an underactive thyroid.

Breakthrough Bleeding: Is This Normal?

Monday, January 17, 2011

Question

I was prescribed the birth control pill (Apri) a few months ago through student health. I haven’t really experienced any problems until now. I am on my second pack of pills. I am bleeding (every so often throughout the day and not super heavy or anything) the week before I should get my period. (I still have a week before the placebo pills) Is this something I should be worried about? I am kind of concerned and not sure what I should do. If someone could respond to this as soon as they can, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Condom Size Issue

Friday, February 4, 2011

Question

My sexual partner is slightly too small to fit into normal sized condoms, and we still are unable to find ones that fit very well. We accommodate for this by securing the end with a rubber band so it does not slip off during sex. I am on birth control so this is not our only form of safe sex, and I refuse to have sex without the condom. Is this a safe way to secure a condom (we are careful not to catch the rubber band on any part of the condom and leave room for the cum to reside in when he reaches climax)? Any suggestions for a better fix?
