COVID-19 Vaccine and Boosters

Vaccines are plentiful in offices and local retail pharmacies- be a responsible Hawkeye- do your part and get vaccinated. We currently have Pfizer BioNTech vaccine at Student Health.

NEW: We are awaiting the final CDC decision on booster doses for all three COVID-19 vaccines (currently just Pfizer), and if approved, will soon have Moderna in stock to offer those who got Moderna vaccine for their primary series. Watch this news item for updates on eligibility, vaccine availability and how to get scheduled for your booster.

Student Health can administer your primary series of Pfizer vaccine, and  we can provide an additional or booster dose, following the CDC guidelines.  Call to schedule in our Westlawn Clinic, 319-335-8394, or just walk in to the IMU Nurse Care Clinic, located in G-103 IMU, in the lower level by the Java House.

When you complete the COVID-19 vaccine series by any provider (both vaccines for Pfizer/Moderna, or one Johnson & Johnson), don't forget to take your vaccine card (or other vaccine record) to the IMU Welcome Center for your $10 gift card to the Iowa City Downtown merchants, which also makes you eligible for other great prizes.

Make sure you complete vaccine series with BOTH DOSES, at the appropriate interval, if you get Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.  Both doses are needed for full immunity.
