We are staffed with Medical Doctors (MD) who are board-certified in family medicine, gynecology, and psychiatry.  We also have certified physician assistants and a certified advanced registered nurse practitioner to give you expert care while you are here at the UI. 

We offer these services: 

  • Evaluation and treatment of acute illness and injury 
  • Non-urgent health issues (skin issues, sleep problems)
  • Health maintenance visits (physical exams)
  • Chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma)
  • Evaluation and management of mental health / psychiatric issues
  • Women's health care (pap smears, contraceptive management, procedures
  • Sexually transmitted disease evaluation and treatment
  • Eating disorder evaluation and treatment
  • Weight management services
  • LGBTQ services
  • Allergy clinic- continuation of immunotherapy (allergy shots)
  • Travel clinic- counseling and immunizations prior to international travel
  • Nurseline- telephone advice from registered nurses, 24/7
  • Nurse visits for immunizations and health requirements in two locations- Westlawn and IMU 
  • On-site laboratory
  • Coordination of care with specialists at nearby University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC) 
  • Collaboration with other UI services such as University Counseling Service and Student Wellness
  • Management of disease outbreaks on campus, in partnership with local and state health departments
