Steps to follow for BBPE

• Cleanse the wound with soap and water
• Notify the supervising resident or nurse manager of the clinical area where your BBPE occurred so source labs can be ordered
• Source labs ordering instructions can be found here: Source
• Call Student Health Nurse Line @ 319-335-9704 during office hours 
  Monday-Thursday from 8-5, Friday 9:30-5 to report your BBPE and receive further instructions
• If the BBPE occurs after our office hours, please go to the ETC
• If off campus, follow the clinical rotation facility policy regarding BBPE and call the Student Health Nurse Line the next business day
